River Birch Renewable Energy provides weekly trash collection for residents living in Jefferson Parish, St. Charles Parish, Lafourche Parish and City of Gretna. We have locations in both Avondale, Louisiana and Houma, Louisiana. RBRE’s mission is to be a reliable and prompt waste collection service for all customers. We strive to not only meet, but exceed our customers expectations. The safety of our team members is our top priority as well as protecting those around us. As a member of the communities that we serve, we take great pride in doing our part in helping to keep the streets and cities cleaner than we found them.

REsidential Trash Services FAQ

What time does my trash need to be out at the curb?

While times vary by location, the best rule of thumb is to put all garbage at the curb the night before scheduled pick up or before 4am on your collection day.

Does the trash inside my cart have to be bagged?

Yes, typically all trash must be bagged and placed inside your approved garbage receptacle.

What do I do if my trash was not picked up?

Please contact our office so that we can send a recovery truck to your location. Phone: 985-282-4273

What if I have extra items or more trash than usual?

If you have additional trash of greater volume than the agreed upon service we provide to you – or should you have a bulk item such as furniture, wood, an appliance, etc., you must call the office to schedule a pickup or submit your request via the form. There is an additional charge for these items, however, a quote can be provided over the phone at your request.

When will you pick up my landscape debris or yard waste?

Landscape debris or yard waste collection is offered in many of the communities we service.

Do you pick up oversized trash items?

Items such as home furnishings, mattresses, carpet and appliances may require special handling and/or advance notice. Contact our customer service representatives for details.
